Doodlin' Inprisoned!?
I made a big mistake of speeding over 20mph and got sommons while driving in the State of Virginia. Seriously, I was just following the car ahead of me -- that guy stopped for a while with us but left us behind as he saw the officer approaching me.
In Virginia, unlike in California, this is considered a misdemeanor of reckless driving. The officer told me that I would be able to prepay on the Internet or by mail if I call in the number on the summons, so I came back to Japan planning to do so from home.
Now, the court told me that they would not accept any prepayment for such charges and I had to appear in the court next week, which I can't.
Thay also said this C-1 misdemeanor may result in one year of inprisonment and a fine up to $2500. Oh no!
I am sending a letter to the court explaining my situation and see what happens.
Anybody have an advice?
Please help me!!!

Finally, Coming Back !
I got the 'Kobe Jazz Street Award' at the 9th Kobe Jazz Vocal Queen Contest held on May 10&11, 2008, under my handle name 'Doodlin'.
To confess, I all of a sudden lost 16 bars of lyrics in the middle of Sophisticated Lady and ended up improvising with no clue; therefore I never expected to win anything...
Anyway, Arno is finally back in Japan performing!
I sang two of my theme songs -- 'Doodlin' ' by Horace Silver and 'Sophisticated Lady' by Duke Elington. Ha, ha.

My First Recording in Years
Doodlin's Theme (wma file, 4MB)
Here is my theme song!
I recorded this with my handy 4 tracker on Sunday in my living room all by myself, thanks to Hal Leonard Play-Along CD. Since there is no engineer involved, forgive me if there is any lousiness in sound.
I hope to make more in near future.
My last recording was in 1985 with an acoustic piano and a DX-7, then 'hot' sampler synthesizer. Wow, it's been 23 years! I am not sure if I made any improvement ...

Hello there, from Japan!
It's been almost five years since I came back to Japan.
I have been too lazy to write or even update my new Mailing/Email addresses,
and I am afraid I lost contact of many good English speaking friends out there.
So, finally, here I am!
Hope to hear from you soon if you know me from somewhere.
I am happy to take questions if you are interested in a life like this.
Best,
Doodlin'
